These terms outline the rules for using the Datamatrix Code Generator website.

Datamatrix Code Generator (https://www.datamatrix-code-generator.com) is operated by an individual based in Uruguay.

By accessing this website you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Datamatrix Code Generator if you do not accept them.

In these terms, "the Website", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Datamatrix Code Generator (https://www.datamatrix-code-generator.com). "You" and "your" refer to anyone who visits or uses the Website. The Website is a free tool: it does not require an account, does not process payments, and does not involve any contract for paid services between you and us.

What the Website Does

Datamatrix Code Generator lets you create Data Matrix (ECC 200) barcodes from text you enter, preview them, and download them as PNG, PDF or ZIP files. The images are generated on our server, and the resulting files are stored temporarily and deleted automatically, as described in our Privacy Policy. The Website also includes a blog, a contact form, and a newsletter subscription form. The Website is provided free of charge, with no sign-up required, subject to the technical limits shown on the generator page (currently up to 500 codes per submission, and up to 1,550 characters per code).

Cookies

We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. Essential cookies are needed for the Website to work. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent dialog; elsewhere they are used by default. License and Acceptable Use

Unless otherwise stated, Datamatrix Code Generator and its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the Website itself (its design, code and text). You may view and print pages from the Website for your own personal use.

You must not:

  1. Republish, resell or sub-license material from the Website;
  2. Attempt to disrupt or overload the Website (for example, automated bulk requests outside normal use of the generator);
  3. Access the Website by automated means (bots, scrapers or scripts), other than search engines indexing public pages, or use the generator as a back end for another product or service, without our prior written permission;
  4. Use the Website to generate content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to encode.

The Data Matrix codes you generate, and the text you choose to encode in them, are yours. We do not claim any ownership over the codes you create.

Hyperlinking to Our Content

You may link to the Website as long as the link is not misleading and does not falsely imply that we endorse, sponsor, or are affiliated with your site. No use of the Datamatrix Code Generator logo is allowed without our prior written permission — contact us if you would like to request it.

Content Liability

You are solely responsible for the text you choose to encode into a Data Matrix code and for how you use the codes you generate. We are not responsible for how any generated code is subsequently used, printed, or scanned.

Disclaimer

The Website and the codes it generates are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the Website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Website, including any loss resulting from a generated code failing to scan correctly. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Website. Continued use of the Website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
